A Feasting Opportunity

October 23rd, 2006

I’m back after a fun vacation, which I’ll write a bit more about, but just wanted to post a tip specifically for Richmonders this morning -

It’s Richmond Restaurant Week! (<-Richmond.com article) $22.06 buys you a three-course prix-fix menu at any of the participating establishments, and $2.06 will be donated to the Central Virginia Food Bank for every meal bought. It’s still not cheap, but a bargain considering many entrees alone cost at least that much! (These are nice places after all.)

A disclaimer is that I haven’t had a chance to indulge in Restaurant Week before. Unfortunately, I didn’t find out about it until after the fact last year, and I’m not sure if we’ll be up for taking advantage this week after a week of eating out on vacation. If I were going, I’d hit Zeus Gallery because I love it and try Julep’s for a new place.

-One or two of the restaurants are also offer dining certificates on Restaurant.com, so you could eat a truly bargain meal if they will accept those this week-

If you’re interested, try it tonight or make those weekend reservations today!
