These are actually just the straightforward deals. There are also some potential free/almost free after ECB AND coupon deals with Pantene, Lady SpeedStick, Nivea, Swiffer, etc.
Some ECB Basics:
-”ECB’s” are CVS coupons that print at the checkout register. They are valid for a particular dollar amount off your total, redeemable only at CVS. You must have an ExtraCare card (free) to receive them, and they are only valid with your card.
-You earn them when you buy a product for which CVS is running an ECB promotion.
-You have to invest money at first to buy product(s) that generate ECB’s, then just keep using previous ECB’s to buy new products that earn ECB’s.
-You can use coupons on products that are free after ECB’s.
-ECB’s are now printing immediately - when you purchase an ECB item, the register will print the ECB’s owed to you at the end of the transaction (There used to be a 2-day delay).

I have just started the cvs extra bucks deals, playing a little game, to see how long i can go without spenting any “real” money. Started out buying the lipstick, 1 bodywash, and the folger’s coffee, I had $3/off 15.00 coupon, and coupons from the sunday paper, I spent 21.14, and got back 18.00 and change.I also purchased a 1/2 gal of milk and a bottle the old spice after shave that was on clearence. I’ll be going back tomrrow for the 4 more bodywash and the toothpaste, I have coupons for all items and my extra bucks will cover the purchase. Love it!
I spent the afternoon today running around to all the CVS stores around here trying to get all the deals.
I used my card and my hubby’s card so I was able to get double the deals.
Only one cashier at one of the stores was grouchy and ill about it, acting like it was $$ out of her own pocket or something.
Gotta love CVS ECB’s!
Anna - I envy the $3 off $15 coupon - we never get those in our paper.
Renee - Double the deals rocks! Someday I’ll take on an extra card for my husband too. I get mixed reactions from cashiers too - some are impressed and some imply it’s criminal to pay so little. Oh well
I’ve started running into trouble w/registers not accepting some of my ECB’s. I hope CVS gets it straightened out soon!
