Finding Children’s Consignment Sales

August 25th, 2007

Since Kim asked… here’s the best frugal tip I’ve found this week!

I just learned about this website - The Bargain Watcher. It’s run by Sandra, a Christian mom in the Atlanta area, and her resources are are concentrated on sales in that geographical location. But she has a page devoted to nationwide listings of children’s seasonal consignment sales, grouped by state. Many bargain mommies are probably already plugged into their local resources for these events, but it’s worth checking to see if there are any posted that you hadn’t heard of, either in your city or nearby locations.

She also includes information on the subjects of “All About Consignment Sales” and “Helpful Hints for Sellers and Shoppers.” I’m in the early stages of learning about all this bargain parenting stuff, and have never been to one of these sales, so it was a useful read.

(By the way Richmonders, West End Assembly of God’s “Mothers of Young Children Clothing and Toy Sale” is scheduled for September 22)

Hey! I just did a post on consignment sales, too! We’re really lucky to have The Bargain Watcher down here in Atlanta. There are a couple more resources for finding consignment sales here: http://tinyurl.com/2p5fu9
