Friday L&D
October 12th, 2007Links ‘n Deals, not Labor & Delivery
Tuesday’s Festival of Frugality was hosted by My Retirement Blog. I think it’s the first FoF I’ve participated in since February, and my submission “Under the Weather and Over the Counter” even made the Gems of the Week list. Some festival posts I appreciated were “Couponing Strategies” at A Penny Closer, and “Save Money by Only Using a Cell Phone” at Free Money Finance (we do!).
As always, lots of good reads at Frugal Friday hosted by Biblical Womanhood.
Free Toy at Toys ‘R Us - (through tomorrow, 10/13) Just print the coupon and redeem for a free Littlest Pet Shop Animal or Basic Hot Wheels Car, no purchase needed.
Big Lots 20% off coupon - (through tomorrow, 10/13)
Coinstar/Amazon gift certificate deal - When you exchange over $30 in coins at Coinstar machines for an Amazon eCertificate, a mail-in-rebate form for an additional $10 certificate from Amazon prints out. So you get $40 credit from Amazon for $30 in change. (There are no counting fees taken out when you choose the eCert option.) Just use the Coinstar machine finder to locate one near you that offers e-Certificates, and add at least a penny over $30… I was waiting to post this until I had tried it, and it worked great! I don’t mind “locking” myself into Amazon credit, because I find I’m always ordering something from them.
Thanks for mentioning my post on couponing. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
